Looking forward to 2nd semester

Here are some things we will be looking forward to 2nd semester:
*  We will have a student teacher join us for a good chunk of 2nd semester.  Heather Scherrer will join us at the end of January! 
* Our first ETC day (enhanced teacher curriculum) will be in February for our 100th day of school.  Our ETC Day will be on Tuesday 2/7.  We will need many volunteers to help organize and run stations throughout the day.  Mrs. Robertson and I are having a planning meeting on Thursday Jan. 12th for those interested in helping organize the event.  We will meet at 4:15 in the pod.  Please let me know if you are available to come to this meeting.  We have all of the files and activities that have been used for the past 4 years.  These will be available to volunteers for planning. 
*  Winter parent / teacher conferences will be held Feb. 15th and 16th.  On line sign ups will be available soon.  Watch for information in the Cougar Tracks Newsletter.
*  We will have a field trip to Kaleidoscope on Thursday, March 29th.  Info to come!
*  Our 2nd ETC day will be in April for Earth Day.  This should be on Friday, April 20th. 
*  We will end the year with a school wide Field Day in May! 
*  As we go into 2nd semester of kindergarten (getting closer to 1st grade) - expectations will be higher.  Expectations for behavior as well as student work.  We will begin working on writing sentences in our journal using correct punctuation and capitalization!
