This week in kindergarten:
* We continue with our theme in reading: Look at Me Grow! Our vocab words are size, person & weight. Our sight words are him & mother. Our letter focus is Xx.
* In math we will continue with Topic 9: More Addition & Subtraction.
* We have also started a small science unit on plants and seeds. We are learning about the parts of a plant, life cycle of plants and how a seed becomes a plant.
* We will have Spring DIBELS testing tomorrow.
* This Friday we will have a guidance lesson with Ms. Brown. We will also meet with our 4th grade buddies for the last time this year!
* Our last Scholastic Book order is due today. If you are planning on ordering - please get your order in by tonight. Thank you! You can order by going to www.scholastic.com/bookclubs The class code is GMMD6.
* Reminder: Now that the weather is getting warmer (at least we hope it is) please remember to send a water bottle to school with your child. It is extremely helpful in cutting out distractions of having students leaving the classroom to go to the water fountain.
* Please make sure to return all guided reading group books (the small leveled books that would come home in the plastic handled bag).
* For those that volunteer in the classroom each month - please stop by the office this week for a sweet treat and flowers!
* The last day for kindergarten is Wednesday, May 22nd! Wow - the year went by way too fast!! :)
