* New on our blog: a link to kindergarten documents. On the left side of this blog is a link for Mrs. Hoover's Documents. I will place all important and helpful documents on this site. Right now I just have the reading log. Feel free to print extra copies if you need them. I also have copies in the classroom for the kiddos to pick up.
* We made it to the end of our Candy Land Board! We will celebrate by having a pajama day on Wednesday. Your child can wear their jammies if they like. Make sure to wear shoes that are appropriate for recess and/or PE. Thanks!
* I am sending reading books home today and tomorrow. If you haven't sent the last book back to school please do so ASAP. :)
* This week our focus will be on the letter and sound for Rr /r/. Our sight words are how & it. Our vocab words are ways, transportation & limit. We continue the comprehension strategy of synthesizing.
* In math we will work with patterns, exploring with geo-boards and graphing.
* There is no school on Friday 12/17 for kindergarten. Our winter party will be 12/16 at 11:00 and 3:00.
PM Class Only: There will be a Book Walk at the Winter Party (similar to a cake walk). Please send in a new, wrapped book ($5 or less) to participate. Please make sure the book is gender neutral.
* Are you filling in the fitness calendars sent home by Ms. Olson? If so, the class with the most calendars turned in will receive a special snack and gym time with Ms. Olson!
* Scholastic book orders are due today. I will complete the order and turn it in tomorrow so that we will have it back before winter break begins.
