This week in kindergarten:
* We have started a new theme in reading: The Mighty Sun! Our comprehension strategy is Asking questions - using visuals. Our vocab words are glowing heat & source. Our sight words are with & dog. We are learning about the letter and sound for Jj.
* In math we are working on making a design using geo-boards, measuring length using non standard units, ABC patterns & acting out "some, some more" and "some, some went away" story problems. This last skill is basically simple addition and subtraction.
* Both classes will enjoy a fun science assembly tomorrow called CAPOW! Make sure to ask them about it tomorrow after school!
* There is a parent survey available for you to take on the PRE website. Please take a moment to take this online survey for each child attending PRE. Thank you!!

* Class and individual picture day is next Monday 3/28!
* Our next ETC day is quickly approaching! It will focus on Earth Day and being green. It will be run exactly the same as 100 day. We will have a parent meeting next Tuesday, 3/29 right after school (4:00) for those interested in helping to organize this fun event! Please let me know if you plan on attending the meeting on Tuesday.
* I hope you all had a wonderful spring break and have been enjoying the warm weather - I know I have!!
