This week in kindergarten:
* We will focus on the letter Ii. We will talk about the short i sound /i/ and the long i sound as well as the use of "bossy e."
* We are starting a new theme - Greet the Seasons. Our comprehension strategy is making predictions.
* We will double up on vocab words and sight words this week. They are frost, wind, season, weather, compare & bring. Sight words are man, baby, up & down.
* In math we will learn about measurement - comparing length, as well as naming a shape piece using 3 attributes.
* We had a great time reading Dr. Seuss books with our 4th grade buddies today!
* There is no school this Friday. Spring break begins!! :)
* I changed in our Heifer Jar this weekend. We had $121 in the jar from the last 2 months. That gives us a total of $342 for the year so far! WOW!! We will continue to collect change through the end of April. We will take the last month of school to choose the animals we would like to donate and put the order in. Thank you so much for your help with this project!!
* Scholastic Book orders are due today.
* Our field trip to Kaleidoscope was amazing! The children had a wonderful time and were very creative! Thank you to all of our volunteers (who also proved to be quite creative as well)!!
Have a great week! :)
