* We will not have a homework sheet. However, I am sending home a sight word packet for those students working on list 1. I would also like to see the students practice using a mouse on home computers if possible. Mrs. Carter, our Tech Time teacher, has noticed that with the use of tablets many students are struggling with manipulating a mouse. If you have a home computer with a mouse - have your child practice using the mouse and working on how to point and click. Some great websites for kindergarten students are www.starfall.com and www.pbskids.com.
* We are learning about Johnny Appleseed and will celebrate Johnny Appleseed Day tomorrow in class (it is actually on Saturday, 9/26).
* We will not have kindergarten class Wed-Fri this week. Wednesday and Thursday are reserved for parent teacher conferences.
* I have created a sign up for parent volunteers in the classroom. There are 2 time slots to choose from. 10:45-11:45 and 1:40-2:30. Please feel free to type your name into 1 or 2 slots. As we get closer to the beginning of the month and you notice slots are empty - you are welcome to add more times if you wish. Parents who volunteer in the classroom will work with groups of students (4 at a time) in the pod. You will play games and do activities that support the curriculum and what we are learning in the classroom.
This is a Google Doc - similar to the snack sign up. Let me know if you have any questions! :)

* Snack time has been a huge hit! Thank you to everyone who has donated a snack for our class! We are still looking for snacks for the following dates/letters: next Friday (U snack), 10/6 W, 10/8 X, and 10/9 Y. Let me know if you can help!
