* We will learn about Habit 6: Synergize
* We will learn about vowels this week (AEIOU and sometimes Y) and know that they have a short and long sound. We will also learn about nouns and sort nouns by person, place and thing.
*Friday will be orange day. Have your child wear orange if they have it. We are switching to Friday this week so the students can wear their new PRE shirts (coming home today) on Wednesday!
* This Wednesday, 10/5, is National Walk to School Day. PTO is sponsoring this event and will have a special guest at school that morning. Remember to wear your new PTO shirt coming home today!
* We will finish Topic 3 in math - reading and writing numbers 6-10.
* Please send field trip permission form back to school by this Friday signed with $5.75. Checks can be made payable to Prairie Ridge Elementary. Our field trip is next Thursday, 10/13. The students will need to bring a sack lunch. We will eat at the pumpkin patch. Have them wear comfortable clothes, bring a jacket if needed and wear tennis shoes.
* There is no school next Friday, 10/14 or Monday, 10/17.
* Our letter snacks will be ending next Monday. Beginning next Tuesday your child may bring their own individual snack to school. We will have snack at 1:40 after specials. Please make sure it is a healthy snack and not something with a lot of sugar. Also, I will try to keep some bulk snacks at school for anyone that forgets and would love to have donations of things like goldfish crackers, pretzels, chex cereal etc. Anything that would keep well and is easy to pass out. Thank you!
