This week in kindergarten:
* Wow - last week of school!! We will continue to watch Charlotte's Web. We will finish the movie tomorrow.
* We will visit with our 4th grade buddies one last time for a Popsicle celebration.
* I have created a summer packet for your child to work on this summer. The packets are coming home in folders today. You may choose to have your child complete these packets and return them to me next August. I will have a little treat for any packets that come back. Remember to read at least 15 minutes a day to maintain their current reading level over the summer! Let me know if you have any questions!
* Report cards will come home in folders on Wednesday.
* I will be sending home all of their important papers and items they have made/collected over the year tomorrow. Check backpacks for those!
* The kiddos will get together with the other kindergarten class to sign yearbooks tomorrow. I will have an autograph paper for those that didn't order a yearbook. So, everyone will get to sign.
* Wednesday is field day. Please make sure to put sunscreen on your child before coming to school. Also, make sure to have them wear tennis shoes (no flip flops or sandals), comfortable clothes that are appropriate for the weather and bring a water bottle! Your child should bring a snack on this day. One of our stations will be a snack station and the children provide their own snack. We will place all of the snacks in a bucket until we get to the snack station. Make sure you label it with your child's name!!! Snacks should be healthy and not sugary! (please no snacks with nuts or peanuts) We need to refuel and refresh between all of our fun Field Day stations. (ex. you can place an orange / apple in a sandwich bag labeled with their name, goldfish crackers, pretzels, granola bar, etc). We should have a fun filled day of activities!
* Please go ahead and send your child with a back pack and their folder on Wednesday! This way I can send their report cards in their folders. Thank you!!
* Wednesday is the last day of school for kindergarten. We will not be in class on Thursday.
* I just want to let you know how much I thoroughly enjoyed your children this year. Both classes have been amazing and I want to thank you for sharing them with me! Also, thank you for your time and commitment that you showed by working with your children at home and helping them to complete their homework and reading logs - it really does make a huge difference. Have a wonderful summer!!
