This week in kindergarten:
* We begin a new theme in reading: Does it Move Fast or Slow?
We continue with the letter and sound for Gg - talking more about the soft sound for G this week. Our comprehension strategy is to synthesize.
Our sight words are do & big. Our vocab words are move, distance & speed.
* In math we continue to work on comparing and ordering numbers through 10. By the end of this week we will begin topic 5 - counting, reading and writing numbers to 20! We are already working very hard on recognizing numbers through 20 during our daily math meeting as well as games we are playing with parent volunteers and watch dogs!!
* Friday we will have a 911 presentation.
* Thank you to everyone for helping with our Thanksgiving Feast on Tuesday. Thank you for sending in items and for all of the parents who helped set up, serve and clean up. It was perfect!!
