* We started a new theme in our whole group reading time: Meet My Family. Our comprehension strategy during this theme is "creating images."
Our letter focus is Ll. Our sight words are car & am. Our vocabulary words are food, grandparent & together.
Our color word this week is brown. We will learn to read and spell the word brown. Wear brown to school on Wednesday!
* In math we will continue on Topic 5 - reading and writing numbers to 20.
* Please remember that voting starts today for Power A Bright Future. Please vote twice a day for our school. Forward todays email to everyone you know - grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, coworkers etc.
PTA is asking for more candy donations to help with the Clorox Wipe project. Bags of small individually wrapped candy is needed.
* Tomorrow is the last day to turn in reading logs for our school reading challenge.
* Happy Bear will be here on Friday. Please see the note that is coming home in folders today regarding Happy Bear. (we are still looking for someone to be Happy Bear - let me know if you are interested).
* Prairie Ridge is having another school wide spirit day this Friday. It is Red, White and Blue Day. Wear as much RW&B this Friday as you can!
* Next week there is no school W-F. Our kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast will be on Tuesday. 11:00 for AM class and 3:00 for PM class.
* For the kiddos that eat lunch at school - this Thursday will only have 2 lunch choices. Choice A - turkey dinner and choice C - yogurt.
* PM class only - I believe the calendar in your child's folder has the wrong library day. Your library day is B. Tech Time is D. Sorry for the confusion!
* Today we learned about Veteran's Day! We watched 2 videos. I am posting one of them at the bottom of this post. Thank you to all of our veterans for serving our country!!
