This week in kindergarten:
* We continue with our theme: Meet My Family. We will focus on the letter and sound for Gg. We learn that g makes 2 sounds: hard g /g/ and soft g /j/.
Our sight words for this week are for & me. Our vocab words are describe, each & celebration. We will continue with our comprehension strategy of "creating images."
Wednesday is gray day! We will learn to read and spell the word gray. If you have any gray - wear it on Wednesday.
* In math we will begin Topic 7 - Understanding Addition. We took our Topic 5 math test today. I will be sending these home tomorrow. Please use the test to guide you as you help your child understand math concepts at home. We will also work in small groups with concepts that need reteaching.
* This Friday we will have a guidance lesson with Ms. Brown.
*Our Thanksgiving Feast last Thursday was a huge success! Thank you for helping us out by sending in all of the items we needed. A big thank you to all of the parents who helped decorate, serve and clean up! We couldn't do it without you!!!
