* We had a great time on our field trip to Kaleidoscope! I posted pictures below (previous post).
* Last Friday we met with our 4th grade buddies to work on a "mini research project." Each pair received a book from the library about an animal. They read the book together and wrote down facts they learned about their animal. We completed these research packets this afternoon and they are coming home tomorrow. They did an awesome job working on this!
* We also did some informative writing last week as we learned about chickens. Check out the fabulous kindergarten writing:
* This week in math we continue with Topic 11 - Decomposing Numbers 11-19.
* Our Earth Day ETC celebration will be next Tuesday afternoon, 4/22. We still have many volunteer slots that we need to fill!! Grandparents are welcome! Here is a link to the volunteer sign up:

Prairie Ridge Elementary Class
Placement Special Consideration Form
2014-2015 School Year
Students at Prairie Ridge
Elementary will be placed in classrooms for the 2014-2015 school year after the
needs of each individual child, as well as the group composite, are considered.
A balance in each class of gender, academic, and social/emotional needs are
considerations in placement. Parents who complete the “Class Placement Special
Consideration Form” do so to notify administration of their child’s individual
learning needs prior to the final class assignments being completed. Very few
students should need this form completed on their behalf.
Parents may not request a
specific teacher.
The form can be found in the
“Parent Documents and Information” link on the school website at:
Please return this form to the
school office on or before April 24, 2014.
Forms returned after this date
will not be considered.
Thank you!
