End of week update

We spent the first few days of school getting to know each other and learning the classroom rules and expectations.
I told the students that their homework this weekend was to tell their parents about our classroom rules.  There are gestures / movements that go with each rule.  Hopefully they can tell you all 6 rules and also tell you why each one is important.

We also read the book Have You Filled a Bucket Today by Carol McCloud.  Ask them what the book is about and how you can fill a bucket?



Another good thing to work on at home is pencil grip.  Here is a video we watched to help us hold our pencil the correct way:
